Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez to tie knot in $600 million dreamy winter wonderland wedding

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is reportedly set to marry his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, next Saturday in an extravagant $600 million wedding in Aspen, Colorado. The couple, engaged since May 2023, is set to tie the knot in a winter wonderland-themed ceremony featuring festive décor, twinkling lights, and holiday charm.
Before the wedding, Bezos, 60, and Sanchez, 54, celebrated at Matsuhisa, a luxury sushi restaurant in Aspen, which they reportedly booked for two nights, Thursday and Friday, as per The Daily Mail.
The wedding is expected to be a star-studded affair. The couple previously celebrated their engagement in Positano, Italy, joined by notable figures such as Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Queen Rania of Jordan according to the New York Post.
Bezos and Sanchez have kept their wedding plans private, with no official confirmation of the date. The couple has been inseparable since they began dating in 2018, making their relationship public in 2019 shortly after Bezos finalised his divorce from MacKenzie Scott.
Rumours of their engagement first surfaced in December 2019 when Sanchez was seen wearing a massive heart-shaped ring. Bezos officially proposed in May 2023 aboard his $500 million mega-yacht, presenting Sanchez with a cushion-cut pink diamond valued at $2.5 million.
The bride-to-be shares three children: Nikko, 23, with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez, and Ella, 16, and Evan, 18, with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell. Bezos has three children with his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott.
Meanwhile, as news of the lavish wedding unfolds, Amazon is facing a nationwide workers’ strike. Employees in four states are staging protests for the third consecutive day, calling for better working conditions. The upcoming nuptials highlight a sharp contrast between Bezos’s opulent lifestyle and the growing discontent among Amazon’s workforce.
