Maharashtra Assembly elections: Congress on Sunday released its fourth list of 12 candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections to be held on November 20.
The party’s Central Election Committee (CEC) announced this selection of candidates for various constituencies across the state, focusing on a mix of experienced leaders and new faces.
The list includes the names of Dr. Anil Nathu Shinde from Amalner, Sanjay Narayanato Meshram from Umred SC, Ramdas Masram from Armori-(ST) and Praveen Nanaji Padvekar from Chandrapur (SC). In Ballarpur, the party has fielded Santosh Singh Chandan Singh Rawat, while in Warora, Praveen Suresh Kakde has been selected.
Abdul Sattar Abdul Ghafoor from Nanded North, Lahu H. Shewale from Aurangabad East, Sandeep Pandey from Nalasopara, Ashok Jadhav from Andhari East, Dattatreya Bahirat from Shivajinagar, Ramesh Anandrao Bhagwe from Pune Cantonment (SC), Dile Brahmdev Mane Has been nominated from Solapur South. And Bhagirath Bhalke from Pandharpur.
With this announcement, the grand old party has declared the names of candidates for 101 constituencies in Maharashtra. The first list included 48 candidates, while the second and third lists included 23 and 16 candidates respectively.
Earlier on Saturday, the grand old party released its third list of 16 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections. The party has fielded Rana Dalipkumar Sanada from Khamgaon constituency, Prithviraj Patil from Sangli and Sachin Sawant from Andheri West seat.
Maharashtra Congress had earlier in the day announced its second list of candidates, retaining sitting MLA from Jalna Kailash Gorantyal and fielding party leader Sunil Kedar’s wife Anuja from Savner seat.
Meanwhile, the Eknath Shinde faction of Shiv Sena also released its fourth list of candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections today. Rajya Sabha MP Milind Deora has been pitted against Sena (UBT) candidate Aditya Thackeray from Worli. Additionally, Sanjay Nirupam was fielded from Dindoshi assembly constituency.
Former Lok Sabha member Sanjay Nirupam will contest from Dindoshi seat of Mumbai. The Sena has also nominated former BJP leader Murji Patel for Andheri East seat in the state capital.
