Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon to reunite for Homi Adajania’s ‘Cocktail 2’

The beloved 2012 rom-com Cocktail is getting a sequel, with Homi Adajania returning as director. Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, fresh off their success in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, are set to lead the cast, reuniting for another romantic venture.

According to reports, Cocktail 2 will retain the love triangle premise that made the original a hit. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, the sequel’s story reportedly involves a search for a third female lead, with Rashmika Mandanna rumored to be in talks.

The original Cocktail, starring Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, and Diana Penty, became a milestone for Deepika’s career and remains a favorite among rom-com fans. With Shahid and Kriti at the helm, expectations are high for this fresh take on the Cocktail universe.

While Shahid is currently shooting Deva with Pooja Hegde and has other projects in the pipeline, Kriti recently appeared in Crew and Netflix’s Do Patti.
