Skechers expands retail footprint with store in Kozhikode (#1687862)

Skechers, a sportswear brand has expanded its retail presence in the south Indian market with the opening of its third store in the city of Kozhikode in Kerala.

The store located at the Lulu international shopping mall spread over an area of 1,503-square-foot offers an extensive offering of footwear for the entire family.

The new store was launched alongside the brand’s eighth ‘Community Goal Challenge’ that was held from December 17th to 19th which saw participation by actor Malavika Mohanan.

Commenting on the launch, Rahul Vira, CEO of Skechers Asia Pvt Ltd in a statement said, “Our new store is ideal for our global brand in one of India’s growing markets, with income and exposure to a large population from outside as well as within the country.”

“Kozhikode’s rich sporting culture also made it the perfect place for our Community Goal Challenge, which reflects Skechers’ core values of community, fitness, and support for young athletes,” he added.

Skechers currently has 427 retail locations in India including in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata. The brand also retails through its website and leading e-commerce marketplaces.
