Jacqueline Guajardo, a 28-year-old woman, is the suspect arrested following an Amber Alert issued for two children reportedly abducted in King City, California.
She was last seen driving a black 2016 Nissan Altima with the California license plate 9EXF349, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Her photo was released by California Highway Patrol which reported that the suspect is 5 feet tall with brown eyes and brown hair, weighing 190 pounds. The details about her outfits are still unknown.
The children, 7-year-old Selene Zavala and 2-year-old Osvaldo Sebastian, were taken from 635 Livingston Avenue in King City. They were last seen in the area of Livingston Avenue and San Antonio Drive as per CBS news.
CHP further reported that Selene Zavala was 3 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 90 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white and pink sweatshirt with “Princess Selena” written on it and blue pyjama bottoms.
Osvaldo Sebastian is 3 feet tall, weighing 80 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a Spider-Man sweatshirt and Snoopy pyjama bottoms according to KSBW.
The Amber Alert, issued by CHP on behalf of King City Police Department, covered Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz, and Santa Clara counties. About an hour after the alert was raised, police confirmed the children were located safely and Guajardo was taken into custody.
Details about the circumstances of their recovery or the suspect’s motives have not been released.
The case remains under investigation by the King City Police Department.
